Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike says any attempt by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate his officials and administration would be rejected by him.
Wike said this while on the Channels Television’s Road Map 2019 today.
He accused the anti-graft agency of engaging in media trial in the prosecution of corruption cases.
He further called for collaborative efforts in curbing what he described as impunity in the anti-corruption war.
Wike added: “EFCC are not working, they cannot do it on their own. That is the problem we are having. You cannot just come and say this man is corrupt.
“Then the whole world will come and say that they are doing their work. We are tired of that.
“My administration will resist attempts by the commission to investigate my government or summon its officials.”
