Useni, Lalong Cannot Match Me, I Will Defeat Both In 2019-Miri

newsproof.blogspot.com

The Social Democratic Party, SDP, Governorship candidate in Plateau State for the 2019 general election, has said he has what it takes to Plateau State to a height of Eldorado. Speaking in a chat with this medium, he said; “If we are truly calling ourselves Christians or Muslims in Plateau state we should not take bribe, we don’t need to take bribe because we are not corrupt.”

Speaking further he said; “in 1993 the civil servants rigged elections in favour of Tapgun to bring in him in as Governor and now we see Governor Simon Bako Lalong has misused what was given to him when the Plateau People overwhelmingly came together not knowing the APC is not then the ruling party .We rebelled and brought Lalong, money did not play a role then.

However,Dr Godfrey Miri said the return of democracy in Plateau is a curse as the people Plateau has allowed less than 100 people to manipulate them, “we know who these people are,  they are sycophants that contributed to bringing Dariye , and the same political detractors are now moving in to bring Lt General Jeremiah Timbut Useni. burden me to lead them to the promise land.newproof.blogspot.com

Our is a not politics but a  movement,  so we needed a platform to actualize this vision ,however, we have agreed to push  aside APC and PDP aside and bring in Jos back to its lost glory where everyone will not be judge by his or her tribe or religion just to effect change.

Senator Jonah Jang has spent over 7 billion naira to install GNS Pwajok but money politics was not successful, we see Jeremiah Useni throwing his money to buy delegates that rubbish and nonsense would not work for them in 2019.

Miri stressed that Plateau’s religious leaders have completely forgotten their calling in search of worldly and materials things, “so I urge politicians to stop manipulating poor vulnerable people.

He lamented that the Jos International Brewery cannot be revamped back as claimed by Governor Simon Lalong, because its require N27 billion to install new equipments or except this can be turned into cottage brewery not the JIB of yesterday.

According to him, Jeremiah Useni was so very powerful during the late Sani Abacha regime but he has no single projects of his own here to reflect his name on the Plateau, Useni left primary school in form 3 and he was not so intelligence that was the reason they pushed him to Nigeria Army.

Useni did not give any empowerment to salvage the growing population of Plateau indigenes while serving as the FCT minister, so I challenge him to point at anyone he helped today in Government, Dr Miri said.

I Will Resist Any Attempt By EFCC To Investigate My Administration – Wike

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike says any attempt by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate his officials and administration would be rejected by him.

Wike said this while on the Channels Television’s Road Map 2019 today.

He accused the anti-graft agency of engaging in media trial in the prosecution of corruption cases.

He further called for collaborative efforts in curbing what he described as impunity in the anti-corruption war.

Wike added: “EFCC are not working, they cannot do it on their own. That is the problem we are having. You cannot just come and say this man is corrupt.

“Then the whole world will come and say that they are doing their work. We are tired of that.

“My administration will resist attempts by the commission to investigate my government or summon its officials.”

Labour Strike: NUT Directs Teachers to Join Nationwide Action

newsproof.blogspot.com
The Niger State chapter of the Nigeria Union of Teachers has directed all teachers in the state to join in the nationwide strike for increment of wages by organised labour.

The chairman of the union, Ibrahim Umar, after a meeting with the State Wing Executive Council meeting at the NUT Teachers House, told newsmen called for an approval for the increase in the retirement age of teachers to 65 years.

Umar said, “We received a directive from the national body that by 12 midnight of Monday, if nothing happens in the affirmative, we should join in the national strike by the Nigeria Labour Congress.”

The state chairman also admonished the Niger State Government to regularise the release and implementation of members’ promotion at both primary and post primary school levels between 2015 and 2017

The state chairman, while disclosing that the number of teachers in the state has reduced from 30,000 to less than 27,000 said, “We want Governor Abubakar Belloto send an executive bill to the state House of Assembly for the express approval to increase the retirement age of teachers from 60 to 65 years and 35 to 40 years of service”.

SDP Speaks On Denying Omisore Senatorial Ticket

The alleged reports by some online publications that the Social Democratic Party denied Senator Iyiola Omisore the ticket to contest for the Osun East Senatorial District at the Senate in 2019 has been described by the party as “untrue”.The Secretary of the party in Osun State, Taiwo Akeju, stated this during an interview in Osogbo on Monday. Some online media houses had reported that Omisore who was the governorship candidate of the party in the Osun State, was denied the senatorial ticket by the party.According to Punch, Akeju, revealed that the Governorship candidate, did not present himself for senatorial election after he came third in the election.

Akeju said, “There is no truth in that story that SDP denied Omisore senatorial ticket.

“That is not true. Omisore has not presented himself for senatorial election. He didn’t inform us. If he did, we could have considered him, but he did not.

“Senator Omisore is one of the prominent leaders of the SDP and we have no quarrel with him.“But the truth is that he did not present himself for senatorial election. If anybody says that, it is a lie.

“He has not presented himself for any election after the governorship election. You know that he was our governorship candidate in the Osun governorship election and he did well.

“He is one of the symbols of the party. We would have considered him if he presented himself, but he did not.

“I think he wants to give other people the opportunity to be elected, he doesn’t have interest in the senatorial election. Maybe he doesn’t want to appear selfish, but he was not denied the ticket. The submission of list has also closed.”

Buhari Quietly Appoints Son-In-Law As Head Of Border Agency

newsproof.blogspot.com

President Muhammadu Buhari has quietly appointed his son-in-law as the head of Nigeria’s Border Communities Development Agency.Junaid Abdullahi, a retired Army captain, assumed duties at the agency on a low-key on October 18.

He was married to Zulaihat, Mr Buhari’s first daughter who passed away in 2012 from childbirth complications. She was 40.

Mr Abdullahi took over from Jummai Idakwo, the former director of the agency.

Such appointments are usually announced by either the Presidency or the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

It was not immediately clear why both institutions kept a sealed lip over the appointment.

A government source who learnt about the appointment last month said it might have been hushed to save Mr Buhari the trouble of again being accused of nepotism.

The president has faced regular allegations of being sectional, with critics saying his appointments have been lopsided since he assumed office in 2015.

His critics often raise concerns about how most key federal appointments, especially top national security positions, have been ceded to northerners.

Last week, the presidential candidate of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria, Oby Ezekwesili, said Mr Buhari was Nigeria’s “most nepotistic” leader ever.

Mr Buhari has repeatedly denied the allegations, and often urged Nigerians to scrutinise his appointments, after which they are likely to reach a different conclusion.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has also said the administration’s appointments are not lopsided, and suggested that more seats have gone to the south than the north under Mr Buhari.

It was not immediately clear whether Mr Abdullahi has remarried since the passing of Zulaihat, who was born with sickle cell anemia.
